Bates’ Guide to Physical Examination and History Taking – Every medical student needs to own this. (I’m linking to 10^th edition because the 11^th edition just came out, which means 10^th just got cheaper!)

Maxwell Quick Medical Reference – My preceptor STRONGLY recommended this & added that he used his all the way through internship (at which point he finally memorized the contents). It is tiny, thin, and essential. Get it.
