The Art of History-Taking

Medical students are notorious for taking loooooong and extremely awkward histories from patients.

And patients never seem to respond the way Bates says they will…

  1. This is my firmest belief: they teach us histories first not because they are easiest or most harmless, but because we need the most time to master them.

    1. Absolutely! Because I still keep forgetting to ask at least 1 key item. (Usually drug allergies, GTPAL, LNMP, or anything psych-related.)
